How to travel to Italy without moving or: Our DIY guide for a coffee tin

Material list - what you need:
- 3 sheets of A4 construction paper (maximum 160g/m²)
- A good pair of paper scissors
- Transparent craft glue
- print template “Coffee pots”
- optional: a tape measure
How to make a coffee tin
Step 1 – Print the template
Print the "Coffee Pots" template on two or three sheets of colored construction paper each. Make sure the printer settings are set to 100%.
Which paper is suitable?
For our round cans, a thin paper that bends easily when glued on is ideal. If you have colored copier paper with a grammage of up to 160 g/m² in matching colors, you can use that. Origami paper is always suitable.
Step 2 – Cutting the coffee pot parts
Snip-snip! This requires some busy hands. Cut out all the pieces of your colorful jugs individually with scissors. Once you have all the pieces together, arrange them in the desired color combination and set them aside.
Step 3 – Mark positions
If you want the lids of your coffee pots to fit perfectly together when you turn the lid, make marks with a pencil. Wrap a tape measure around the can and mark the center position of your coffee pot with a small pencil line approx. every 9.4 cm.
Step 4 - Now it's time to glue!
Take your craft glue and coat the back of your first piece of paper with it (all the way to the edges). We'd recommended to start with a piece that will be on the cutting edge of the tin.
Now work gradually: Glue one part of the can after the other together from top to bottom.
Done!
