One, two, three, then four: our crafting instructions for Advent candle houses

We bring a soft glow to dark Advent afternoons With our craft instructions for Advent lights, you can start crafting right away.
Be bold and creative and find your own colour combinations – I can't wait to see your ideas!
List of materials – what you need:
- 1-2 erasers
- Air-drying clay (e.g. Keramiton)
- small candles (called Puppenkerzen in Germany)
- A knife
- A craft Scalpel
- left over paint
- Optional: fine sandpaper
How to make a light house:
Step 1 – Cut out the stamps for the windows and doors
Depending on how big you want your houses to be, draw a window that is about 1/3 the size and doors that are half the size of the planned house on the eraser surface. Cut the area around your punch about 3 mm deep so that only the stamp area of the window/door remains.
Step 2 – Shape the houses
Simply cut your clay into even blocks of your desired size with a knife. For the roof, cut both sides of the roof diagonally, approximately in the upper third and starting from the centre. Now stamp the windows and doors with the eraser stamps. Don't forget to cut out a recess approx. 2.5 cm deep in the middle of the roof for your candle. This is best done with a craft knife, and it is best to make it slightly wider than your candle.
You can now wait for a while or dry your houses more quickly in the oven at a medium temperature (see the respective product instructions). If you want them to be even smoother, you can file them down with fine sandpaper.
Step 3 – now it's time to get colourful
Take your favourite colours and paint your houses. We simply left the windows white. Now all you have to do is insert your candle and light it.
Done!
